Far out term 2 already!!!!

Pāngarau

This term Akomanga 23 has been focusing on Measurement mostly Paenga (Perimeter) and Horahanga (Area). We also recapped on non-standard measurement too.

We used our feet to measure each other, this was a lot of fun!!
We also used lots of different things like books, our thumbs, and blocks to measure things around our classroom. We then used those non-standard measurements to find the perimeter and area.

ICT

We have also started to incorporate ICT into our class programme. We are learning how to use e-ako pāngarau to extend our pāngarau knowledge. We will also use our ICT times to publish some of our writings.

Cefira and Brooklyn work together on their notebook during ICT time.

Kaupapa

Our overall focus this term is HUARERE. We have incorporated this into our tuhituhi as we learn more about ngā wahanga o te tau, the seasons of the year. We have also been learning about producing different sounds that paint a picture in our heads about the weather.
