We have also been working in pairs on the school notebooks. Learning and playing maths games (the tamariki thinks it's fun too ) on e-ako maths. In pairs the tamariki work out maths problems and the discussions that were heard around the class was great! Tamariki disagreeing and stating why, tamariki explaining how they arrived at the answer, a great product of Bobby maths.
We also created our own whāriki during our kaupapa time. As you may know we are right in the midst of our Māori New Year, arā, Matariki. Look at our tamariki amazing creations and although we thought weaving would be easy, it turned out to be a little more difficult than we imagined BUT we got there in the end. Through this mahi leaders shone and were able to help their class whānau learn the art of raranga.
